The designer behind the luxury brand of Hanrie Lues Bridal, has been designing & creating couture bridal gowns, since 2005. Originally from the Free State where she studied fashion & design at a private college, she located to sunny Durban in 2010 and hasn't looked back since! Her studio found a home in Durban and has grown leaps and bounds, adding seasonal off-the-rail bridal collections, as well as a made-to-measure studio collection of luxe demi-couture bridal gowns, in addition to her specialty of bespoke couture bridal gowns. Her name is well known in the local fashion-circles, due to her annual participation in events like The Vodacom Durban July and previous collections showcased nationally at the prestigious SA Fashion Week. Her client base has come to trust her name as being synonymous with the highest quality craftsmanship, cutting edge bridal design trends and meticulous attention to detail. Combined with this passion for perfection, she also adds passion for her brides! Her friendly and easy to get along with personality, ensures each bride walks out, not only with a gorgeous couture bridal gown, but also, a life-long friend.

Hanrie personally meets with every bespoke bride who visits the studio. She personally attends to each bespoke fitting and offers priceless advice and support to each of her brides, based on her 15+ years of experience in the bridal industry.

Hanrie currently lives in the peaceful Midlands town of Hilton, with her daughter Phoria. Surrounded by nature & loved ones, Hanrie has cultivated a lifestyle that has become perfectly conducive, to creating beauty and art. She paints in her free time, as well as enjoying walking & exploring nature. Hanrie is also a total gym-junkie & enjoys cooking healthy meals at home.
